Abbey Cottage is a barn converted into a stylish one bedroom studio apartment. Located in the Low Barlings area of Lincolnshire. The open-plan layout of the apartment has one double bed, one bathroom, and kitchen/diner. Off road parking is available for up to two cars. Ample storage available in the property. Guests are welcome to enjoy the farm's gardens, with the balcony overlooking beautiful countryside. Abbey Cottage is a spectacular location for holiday makers to make the most of their break in Lincolnshire.

Area
Lincoln provides lots to see and do. For starters, why not visit Lincoln Castle and take in the views over the city. In the summer months, it hosts an open-air theatre,and also several concerts and re-enactment weekends held within the castle grounds. As well as that there are independent shops in therse cathedral quarter, and a Christmas Market in December. There's also several aviation attractions including World War II museums and airfields. The town of Scampton is home to the Red Arrows and the Dambusters Inn and Heritage Centre, Other local attractions include Doddington Hall, Whisby Nature Park and Woodside Wildlife and Falconry Park.

Note: The property is accessed down a 1.2 mile long single track country lane. Riding and pasture for horses is available on prior arrangement with the owner. Note: Electric charger with a universal socket and type 2 free cable connector (7 pins) and charges at the 3.6 Kw rate. Note: Towels are not provided.

We had a lovely comfortable stay in the studio apartment .The kitchen is well equipped and the balcony was great to sit out as it was hot the breeze came across the field which was lovely.It was very peaceful and just the place to rewind.It is in a good location to visit Lincoln city and the RAF aviation museum for any enthusiasts for the Lancaster Bomber.The coast is around an hour away. There is a charging point for electric cars .We would recommend Abbey Cottage at the Ferry House Farm.

We have just returned after spending a week at Abbey cottage and what a lovely stay we've had . The cottage is spotless very modern with a wonderful view from the lounge and balcony , there is a full bathroom with bath and shower and a brilliant walk in wardrobe where there is room for all your clothes shoes and to store your luggage . It was just after re opening after lockdown but we still managed to go out and about and found some amenities open , we also parked the car at the bottom of the lane and got the bus into Lincoln for the day . We were lucky with the weather and did some lovely walks and spent lots of time on the balcony with coffee and wine in the evening. Our hosts were there if we needed anything, thank you for a lovely stay .

Beautiful studio apartment in a stunning location, wonderful views across the fields of the abbey.. We really enjoyed our stay in this peaceful place that felt like it was miles from anywhere while being just a few minutes drive from the centre of Lincoln. The hosts were helpful and friendly and couldn't have done more for us.

The hosts were outside working on their land as we pulled up at the cottage and came to say hello.. The cottage itself was above and beyond what we expected, it had everything we needed and more. It truly was a home away from home, I would definitely come back if ever I was visiting Lincoln again!

This is a fabulous place to stay, it is in the countryside but just a short distant to the City of Lincoln.. I had a lovely break here, using this as a base to visit friends and family in Lincolnshire. Hosts were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy the countryside.
