Long stretches of sandy beach and sand dunes are ideal for relaxing, and brightly painted beach houses add to the beauty of this quaint community. Chapel St Leonards has a well-equipped leisure centre where family may rent motorboats, quad bikes, play crazy golf, or simply go fishing. The Chapel Carnival Parade takes place every year on the Village Green, and it features a variety of imaginative floats and activities, as well as a fireworks display on the promenade.
