Amazing to be so close to the centre of town, but be in such a quiet, safe, peaceful location.. Public transport (train and bus interchange) is an easy 5 minute walk away. Shops, bars, restaurants - minutes away. Look straight up to the tower of Clitheroe Castle from one of the comfy leather sofas in the living room. The ground floor has a well equipped, clean and spacious kitchen diner, with a proper dining table and chairs - thank you. Everything you need for self catering, with nice crockery and glassware. Spacious, warm and comfortable lounge. Upstairs, two immaculate and comfortable double bedrooms, one is particularly spacious. Good beds, pillows, linen and towels (even face flannels). The huge bathroom has separate bath and shower.
This is a cosy, but not poky, cottage. The central hearing kept the whole place toasty warm in the cool evenings. Good, safe car parking by the side of the cottage. Lots of nice little touches by the owners, such as quality hand wash and lotion, welcome pack so you can have a fresh brew (with lovely biscuits) when you arrive or (my preference) a glass of chilled fizz! A real gem of a place. Highly recommended.
