Nestled perfectly at the foot of St Catherine's Down, within a quiet hamlet of privately owned barn conversions, this cottage can sleep four people. This cottage has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a ground floor shower room, a fitted kitchen with dining area and a sitting room. Outside this cottage has off road parking for one car and a shared, enclosed, front lawned garden with furniture and a barbecue. With the beach close by and stunning views on offer, Kitty's Loft is the perfect place to spend your Isle of Wight holiday.

Area
Godshill is a popular and pretty village in the heart of the Isle of Wight. Its attractive streets are lined with shops, tearooms and restaurants, and the village is also home to the Model Village. From Godshill the island is waiting to be explored, from the sandy beaches to historic castles and houses, the iconic Needles or Blackgang Chine theme park.

The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker's paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent, please bring own beach towels. Cot, highchair, baby bath and stairgate. Off road parking for 1 car. Shared, enclosed, front lawned garden with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub and beach 3 miles. There is no electric charge point for cars. The owners have a Golden Retriever. As it was November the place was lovely and warm all the time, hosts were very friendly and welcoming and explained everything we needed to know, nothing was too much trouble for them, the cottage is in a rural area so it was lovely and quiet and very dark at night if you like views of the night sky then this is great, a five minute drive and you are on the main roads to any area of the island.. .....loved this place and would love to go back in the summer. 5 stars

The cottage was so comfortable and well equipped and the landlord so welcoming.. It was much more than we expected for the price we paid. It was also very well placed for seeing most of the island. We all felt staying in the cottage added much to the enjoyment of our holiday.

In the listing there's no picture of the bathroom, may be worth adding this as quite small with only shower cubicle, no bath.. The bathroom is also on the ground floor so could be an issue for night time visits! We also felt another hand towel could be provided as only one small one for us both, plus only one loo roll! Probably being picky here but more & larger towels provided in other accommodation and always more loo roll & toiletries. Otherwise a lovely cottage in beautiful setting, well placed for visiting all of the island.

The cottage was very warm, well equipped, clean and comfortable.. The garden sitting area was very pretty and the weather was so brilliant (early September) we were able to eat our breakfast outside in the sunshine every morning and it was very quite and peaceful, as although the cottage is situated on a road there is very little traffic; all we could hear was the soft bleating of sheep in a nearby field and birdsong. The property is situated on the south of the island which is supposed to have its own micro-climate being warmer and sunnier than the rest of of the island and this seemed definitely to be the case, and the tropical gardens at Ventnor, which are well worth a visit, are a testimony to this. There is a very nice pub in Godshill called 'The Taverners', about 10 minutes drive from the cottage, which is very popular and the food is excellent , using all local produce, but you do need to book early as it is very popular. We also visited the 'Spyglass' in Ventnor which is right on the edge of the sea and sells delicious crab sandwiches; the crab is locally sourced from the island's fishermen. There is plenty of seating outside and inside it is distinctly quirky with loads of character. Another nice pub with a view is 'The Folly' on the Medina River which is very close to Osborne House,. Do visit Osborne House and gardens, it is an amazing place and in recent years Queen Victoria's private beach has been opened up to the public and you can bathe there, not fully clothed as Queen Victoria did (check out her bathing machine), or just relax on a deckchair with an ice-cream. We have been on the Isle of Wight for day trips, but not for a full week and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we would definitely like to go again and stay at 'Kitty's Loft' and if we are lucky Barbara and Kitty might have a 'cream tea' ready for our arrival as last time!

We would highly recommend this property.. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. Lots of thought has gone into making you feel at home, like milk in the fridge and delicious scones. Excellent welcome pack with information. The property was clean and well maintained. Our kids 6, 4 and 1 absolutely loved staying there, particularly playing with the dogs, and want to return next year! Thanks for such a wonderful week.

A wonderfully located barn conversion in a tranquil setting only 10- 20mins drive to all major attractions.. Hospitality was outstanding and this was by far the best equipped self catering accommodation we have experienced. Would highly recommend.

Myself, my husband and our 16 month old daughter enjoyed a lovely, peaceful holiday in the Isle of Wight at Kitty’s Loft. The accommodation was perfect for us and our toddler loved it from the moment we arrived. The owners, Barbara and Kitty, were very welcoming and could not do enough to help us. We were greeted with a tasty cream tea on arrival and the cottage was crammed with lots of extra touches to make our stay more comfortable. We were provided with a highchair, travel cot, stairgate and baby bath which was extremely helpful as it meant we didn't have to transport lots of big items from home. The cottage was set in a beautiful location and we had access to our own private garden. We also loved playing with the owners' two dogs who were really friendly and were brilliant with our toddler. Thanks for a great holiday!

My wife and I stayed at Kitty's Loft for a week at the end of September 2014. Kitty's Loft is situated in lovely countryside, yet within easy reach of villages and shops. The owners, Barbara and Kit were very welcoming and left us a lovely cream tea for our arrival. Kitty's Loft has everything you could need in a holiday cottage, at any time of year. The kitchen had everything you could need if you wanted to cater for yourself, and all fixtures, fittings, linen etc were of high quality and spotlessly clean. We hope to return again.

We stayed at Kitty's Loft for a week before moving into our new home on the island. It is well equiped and beautifully furnished with lots of extra little touches that you wouldn't usually expect in a holiday let. It's very comfortable - especially the beds - and the location is blissfully peaceful and quiet while still allowing easy access to all areas of the island. We were only sorry that we were not staying longer.
