Godshill is arguably one of the prettiest villages on the Isle of Wight, and its winding main street is lined with numerous picturesque thatched cottages. Explore the wealth of quaint shops and fascinating model village, then treat yourself to a mouth-watering cream tea at one of the local tea gardens. Try one of the two local pubs or one of the fine restaurants for a traditional or vegan meal. Within 4 miles can be found the delightful seaside resorts of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor, all well known for their mild climate, lovely sandy beaches with great watersports facilities and lots of family friendly attractions. How about a nostalgic trip on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, or a visit to Osborne House, Queen Victoria's magnificent summer retreat?
