To the outside is a garden with decking and furniture, and ample off-road parking for four cars. Within 1.8 miles or less there is a shop and pub and please note, two pets are welcomed but there is no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and hand towels are all included in the price, along with a highchair. 1 White House Cottages is a wonderful retreat to Herefordshire. Note: Narrow steep staircase to third floor; please be careful.

The thriving village of Lea lies on the northern edge of the Royal Forest of Dean, surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside, and offers a village shop and petrol station, whilst further amenities lie in Gorsely, including a Post Office and community store. Both the Gloucestershire Way and Wysis Way pass close to the village and set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this stunning part of the country offers many activities and attractions, including numerous trails that can be enjoyed on foot, by horseback or by bicycle, as well as a high wire rope course, abseiling, caving and kayaking. The less adventurous can enjoy a day’s fishing on the River Wye or golf at one of the nearby courses. The historic market town of Ross-on-Wye, overlooking a loop in the River Wye, is just a short drive away and offers many amenities as does the waterfront city of Gloucester where you will find Roman foundations, Victorian docklands and a stunning Norman cathedral (whose cloisters were used in the Harry Potter films). Goodrich is a short drive away and boasts a perfect example of a 12th century Marcher castle or guests can enjoy a day trip to the Black Mountains, Hay-on-Wye and the magnificent Brecon Beacons National Park.
