The Riverside at Aymestrey, which received awards for "Herefordshire's Best Restaurant 2021" and "Best Sustainable Pub 2022" from the Great British Pub Awards, is another fantastic restaurant. All of these activities are offered in the nearby Oaker Wood activity centre. You can tour the interior and grounds of the renowned National Trust sites Croft Castle, a castellated 17th-century manor house, within a short drive, or Berrington Hall, a stunning neoclassical 18th-century mansion designed by Henry Holland, to see Capability Brown's final complete estate (which includes a serpentine pool). The Judge's Lodgings at Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, the famed Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, and the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm are also worth a visit if you're travelling farther afield.
