The Olchon Valley is situated on the Herefordshire/Welsh border within the Black Mountains on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
It s an area of special scientific interest, with a profusion of birds, plants, and animals, some rare, along with no light pollution it is a great place for stargazing. Here, you can leave the car behind and head into the Black Mountains, climb onto the Hatterrall Ridge to join the Offa s Dyke Path where you can walk out to Hay Bluff and Twmpa, or enjoy the ruins of Llanthony Priory.
