Barn in Mid Wales in Abergavenny, Herefordshire

Description
The small hamlet of Trewyn just a mile from Pandy sits at the foot of the Black Mountains, offering an idyllic location that you will struggle to leave, this peaceful hamlet is well served by the local villages, with a village inn in Pandy and a well stocked village store in Longtown. For walkers why not explore the Black Mountains and join the Offa s Dyke pathway which will take you deeper into the countryside. Ideal for touring with the market town of Abergavenny with a regular farmers market and food festival, Crickhowell nestled within the Usk Valley and Hay on Wye with an eclectic range of book shops that all celebrate the book festivals throughout the year. Open the solid wooden gates onto the cobbled courtyard and take a moment to take in the beauty of the building. The large open hallway is inviting with a bench for you to sit and leave your boots behind, the handcrafted oak staircase takes centre stage, with an opening that leads you into the lounge, beautifully furnished with classic sofas, colourful cushions and woollen rugs covering the flagstone floors. Further complimented by the large glazed doors opening onto the courtyard and open fire set ready to light when enjoying a favourite movie on the TV/DVD. For entertaining step off the hallway into the kitchen/diner, set to the rear of the house with a well equipped kitchen enjoying views onto the naturally landscaped grounds, take advantage of the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A breakfast bar divides the room with an area for dining, with a table that will comfortably seat eight guests but could extend to seat up to 12 if you have friends over for lunch. There is access to the garden along with a ground floor WC. So, when the day is done, climb the solid oak staircase where you will find three bedrooms. A double with ornate four poster bed enjoying views onto the gardens and an en suite shower room with rainfall shower and WC. A double with views onto the courtyard and a triple room with handcrafted built in cabin beds, the room is made up of 2 lower level 4' wide beds and one single top bunk. We would advise the top bunk to the right as you enter the room is not suitable for children as there is no bed guard and what looks like a fourth bed in this room is only 4ft long and again not suitable for adults or small children to sleep in and has no bed guard. There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC on this floor. Enjoy discovering the many unique, bespoke features which are designed and created by the owner, every day of your holiday. Lovely gardens and woodlands surround the rear of the property, they are naturally landscaped and great to explore with babbling brooks and hidden benches along the way. Will you be able to find the fairy glen? There is a terrace set to the side where you can sit and soak in the wood fired hot tub. And for al fresco dining enjoy the gated courtyard where you have a BBQ area, firepit, table and chairs ready to dine. There is parking for three cars.
