Mrs Mcguire
October 2018
The welcome by the owner was warm and natural.. There were nine of us but the accommodation is so extensive that we all had corners to disappear into on a wet Saturday, mostly spread out on the sofas. The farm style kitchen was the hub for the families, warm and cosy as with the rest of the accommodation. Fresh eggs are accessible for breakfast from the farm. There is a green lane adjacent which leads to a little used tarmac lane which takes you to the village shop and the Black Horse pub with a choice of footpaths to return on. We all went to Mottisfont Abbey, National Trust, and Salisbury, both half an hour at most. Could have gone to Winchester but we pottered around Stockbridge which is a delight. So, a great base, deep rural, starry nights and bird song filled days but with easy access to all amenities. This was our fifth time but not our last.
