To the outside is off-road parking for two cars, lockable bike storage, and a lawned garden to the rear with patio and furniture. Resting in a lovely location on the edge of the ancient Royal Forest of Dean, offering many walks from the doorstep, Home View is a homely cottage in a delightful part of England.

Area
The Royal Forest of Dean is England's largest oak forest and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The forest offers numerous trails that can be explored on foot, by bicycle or by horseback. Close to Coleford is the town of Lydney which sits on the banks of the River Severn and is in an area that is a delight for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Just a short drive away, in the historic waterfront city of Gloucester, you will find Roman foundations.

Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.

Lawned garden to the rear with patio and furniture (shared with owners). Sorry, no cats or dogs allowed at the property and no smoking. Shop 1 mile and pub 10 mins walk.

Bungalow was excellent, kitchen was well equipped with all the appliances you need and more.. Plenty of places to visit. Really enjoyable holiday.

Our elderly relatives found the overnight storage heating challenging (too hot with it on, but chilly without it), the shower complicated to use and were overwhelmed by the number of remote controls so never did get the television to work.. Perhaps next time we would mention that they needed some support and guidance on arrival. They are so old school and did not want to be a nuisance so not really the fault of the cottage owner, but they did not have the comfortable stay we had hoped for. Was the shower brand new because when I first found the cottage on line it mentioned choice of bath or shower and this was a criteria for choosing it as my sister in law does not do showers?
