Wyck Rissington, Gloucestershire is a short drive away from the quiet village of Little Rissington. Just outside the popular destination of Bourton-on-the-Water, Little Rissington is worth visiting for its 12th century church with its moving memorial to RAF servicemen. The village styling is typical for the Cotswolds; small cottages fronted by flower-boxes. Associations are always made between the village and RAF Little Rissington, the air base which was located relatively close. The main attraction is the 12th century church, which lies apart from the village up a short path to the west of the road. On Pound Lane is a row of Cotswold stone cottages described as perhaps the best example in Gloucestershire of 17th century vernacular building.

Park Stables was very comfortable and spacious, we loved the beautiful wood floors and doors, everything finished to a very high standard.. Only slight surprise was that the third bedroom's bathroom was across the living room, not ensuite or next to the bedroom. We enjoyed the wood burning stove very much, easy to light & regulate & made the room nice & cosy.

Great house for a group of adults - a bathroom per couple and plenty of sofa space.. Good quality kitchen for proper cooking (we did a big Sunday roast). Could do with a bit more equipment , eg a large mixing bowl and a fruit bowl.

We had a lovely stay at park stables.. The property is spacious and beautifully decorated and furnished with good quality oak furniture. The property was always very warm both during the day and during the night. Bourton and Stow are both close by with supermarket, petrol station, pubs and cash points. A lot of extra touches were very much appreciated. The only thing that was missing (and of course this is personal preference) was an anti slip mat for the shower cubicle.
