The Studio is a semi-detached cottage near to Stamford Bridge in Yorkshire. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, a double sofa bed and a family bathroom. The cottage also has an open plan living area with a kitchen and a sitting area. Outside is off road parking and a lawned garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Just a short drive from the city of York and with easy access to the Moors, The Studio is a lovely holiday home in a wonderful area. Please note: this property only allows Friday check in Note: Check in for Christmas week 2024 is Friday 20th December 2024 and New Year week is 27th December

One upstairs double bedroom (zip/link, can be twin on request). Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with sofa.

Area
Stamford Bridge was a fording point over the River Derwent for a Roman settlement, but nowadays is a town with a selection of shops and restaurants. The village is the site of the Battle of Stamford Bridge on 25 September 1066, which marked the end of the Viking era in Britain.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Lawned garden with patio, furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub 20 mins walk. Please note: this property only allows Friday check-in. For New Year booking, is from 27th December, please call Sykes to make booking.

After the initial hiccough (the system crashed at the end of the booking resulting in me before by charged twice) everything went very smoothly.. The Studio was a fabulous find -great location for York, a few National Trust properties and walking. It was kitted out with everything you could want plus a fantastic garden (ideal for my dog to chase her ball in). Plus there was cake and milk waiting for us when we arrived!

Situated near Stamford Bridge , this lovely studio has a self contained garden for your comfort and pet. Situated i would say just under a mile to Stamford Bridge where there are all the facilities you need for an enjoyable holiday. The fish and chips were excellent. The studio was very clean and fully furnished all needs were anticipated , flowers , milk and gingerbread greeted us on our arrival. The bed was fully made up and after travelling from Cornwall this was very welcome. When next in the area visiting family we would love to come back here.

This the second time we've stayed here, excellent secure garden for the dog, lovely cottage with lovely ginger cake left and milk,thoughtful touch.. Stamford Bridge has everything you need for food and drink also free parking. The studio is also in a fab location, not far from many places of interest. Hoping to return for third visit. Ideally placed for YORK and the coast.. Private enclosed garden would be ideal for a dog. Hosts Rose and Colin very friendly and helpful and the cakes, milk and flowers were a nice touch.

Mrs Downes and her family were so very helpful to me, I would recommend The Studio to anyone apart from those like me that have difficulty with stairs.. Milk was left in the fridge which was a god send as it was such a hot day when I drove to The Studio that my milk had gone off.

The Studio was a very comfortable base from which we explored York and its surroundings.. There is a convenient Park and Ride service to the city centre not too far away which is to be recommended. We enjoyed some nearby National Trust properties and a day by the sea at Filey. We would certainly be happy to stay at The Studio again in future.
