We stayed here for 4 nights in May 17 and had a lovely relaxing few days. Undoubtedly, the glorious weather helped!
Despite the property being semi-detached you wouldn't have know there was anyone next door.
The property was stocked with tea bags, coffee and everyday cupboard essentials such as sugar, salt, gravy granules etc.. and an additional nice gesture was a pint of milk in the fridge and two pieces of cake in a tin - much appreciated after a drive of c.200 miles!
Bed linen and towels were included too.
The ground floor bathroom has a walk in shower and the first floor bathroom has a bath. There is a washing machine and other appliances available for use such as a vacuum cleaner, iron etc..
The owners kindly fitted the wheelchair ramp from the patio door to the garden although unfortunately we were not able to use it because the small wheels on the wheelchair did not like the gravel driveway. We managed though and probably a larger wheeled chair would make it across the gravel.
The properties are situated near to the owners cottage with nothing else in the immediate vicinity. We met the lovely owners who were happy to be contacted if help was needed and we also made friends with their adorable border collie!
The nearest village, Stamford Bridge is about a 10 minute drive away and has a Co-op Food, newsagent, take away, pub etc..
Grimston Bar Park & Ride is again about a 10 minute drive away and for £2.90 return takes you to Piccadilly, York which is convenient for tourist attractions such as JORVIK Viking Centre, York Castle Museum, York Minster and The Shambles.
Scarborough was about an hour away by car and a nice drive on the A64.
Lovely place to stay for discovering the area and so quiet you'll probably have the best nights sleep you've had in a long time!
