The Barn is a detached cottage set on the owners' farm near to Burton Fleming in East Yorkshire. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, one twin and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars and a rear patio with outdoor furniture. Close to both Filey and Bridlington, The Barn is a superb holiday cottage for a family holiday in a beautiful part of Yorkshire.

Accomodation Details
Two ground floor bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x twin. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. First floor open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Tea towels and oven gloves provided.

Area
The village of Burton Fleming lies in the Yorkshire Wolds. It has an inn, a butcher and a farm shop and cafe. A seven mile drive brings you to the seaside resorts of Filey and Bridlington, with their beaches, promenades and amenities.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

We’ve just returned from a stay at The Barn and can highly recommend it. Perfectly positioned in a quiet, peaceful, rural location and with really quick and easy access to coastal areas such as Bridlington, Filey, Flamborough Head and Scarborough etc. The Barn is superbly equipped with everything we needed during our stay. It was impeccably presented and extremely comfortable. With a great parking and garden area we had every requirement catered for. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

The Barn is fabulous accommodation absolutely loved it and so did my 3 doggies having their own secure private garden to run around in.. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and equipped with anything you could think of needing during your stay. The layout was lovely being upside down barn so we could make the most of the views. The only complaint we had which was very minor was the kettle was too small and took forever to boil but that hasn’t put us off from returning. The owners are lovely really looked after their land and properties they were really helpful and inviting. We will be returning in fact just looking at re booking for a cheeky week away in February next just to chill out ideal as the beach only 10 mins away in car so the dogs love it as do we. Thank you for having us at your beautiful property.

Fantastic accommodation with every luxury all of a high quality.. We ha a lovely time at the barn, loved the fact you lived upstairs and slept downstairs, nice and quiet, just what we wanted.. My 3 dogs loved it too with the little enclosed run menu they could go in and out as they chose. Close enough to Bridlington or Filey to give the dogs a good run, went down as far as Hornsea and the dogs loved it / all in all a great relaxing time was had by all.

The barn is the perfect holiday home.. It really made our family holiday special. It was warm, cosy and a felt like a home from home. The barn had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. My children loved the games and puzzles! The Barn had plenty of tourist information so we were able to plan our days out easily. Our favourites being Filey Bay, North York Moors Railway to Whitby, Bempton Cliffs and a day in York visiting the museums and York Minster. Just be aware that there are a lot of caravans on site. When we arrived they were stored behind the property but as we were leaving they had been moved to the fields in front. Fortunately, we were aware of the caravans and they didn’t affect our stay in anyway.

The Barn was excellent in every way.. Very clean with great facilities. They had thought of everything and also provided a small store of condiments and other things to complement food you had taken with you. I cannot think of one thing that I needed that wasn't already provided. The bed and sofas were very comfortable and the whole ambience of The Barn was cosy and homely. The owners were very friendly and let you know you could easily approach them if you needed them but were never intrusive despite being right next door. Location was quite out of the way which we liked because it was quiet but also in easy driving distance of coastal areas and other local attractions. There is a campsite and caravan storage close to the barn but these didn't intrude on the privacy at all. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Location ideal for visiting lots of interesting places. The Wolds and surrounding area had some lovely Pubs. Highly recommend The Fox & Hounds at Kilham for Sunday Roast, and between Mon-Wed, 5pm-8pm is the Early Bird menu. Trisha's Steak & Ale Pie delicious. The Bull Inn, Gristhorpe, makes a cracking Fish, Chips & Mushy Peas. 2 for 1 between 12-3pm. The food is piping hot and the plates are hot too! All food homemade not frozen! Just up the road is Cayton Beach lovely! For dog walking you will find Hunmanby Gap is the best place to visit. Parking fees apply, so have change handy. This was our second experience of The Barn and again we found it to be an excellent facility for a relaxing holiday.. It is located in the country but is still close to the sea and the town of Bridlington so there are multiple choices. The owners are also very helpful.

The Barn is a great place to stay. Easy driving to Bridlington, Flamborough, Filey and Scarborough on the coast and Sledmere, York etc inland. Immaculately clean and equipped to a high specification with Freeview and WiFi. Dogs very much welcomed. We spent days strolling beaches and countryside and evenings watching Team GB pull in Rio medals. Hosts are genial, knowledgable and welcoming. There's dedicated parking and ample space. Definitely would revisit.

Everything was provided, including little things like salt and pepper, which often aren't. The property was set in beautiful grounds, but with privacy if required. We spent a week in this beautiful cottage in the summer. The owners are so welcoming, they have lots of local knowledge and are more than happy to give advice on places to see and how to get there. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything we could need and was very comfortable - a real home from home! We would definately stay again. 'The Barn' is located in a rural location near the owners home and their small caravan site (used april - October). A peaceful location, very safe for children and pets! Located 10 minutes from the beach at Hunmanby Gap or a little further afield are Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington. Great location to explore local seaside resorts, countryside walks or citites such as York. We loved our stay here, particularly how safe it was for our dog and the scenic country lane and beach walks. It was great to come back after a long day to a warm, homely cottage where we could curl up and relax!
