Fortuneswell is located on the Isle of Portland peninsula, which is connected to the mainland by Chesil Beach, a gravel spit that extends 18 miles towards West Bay. There is a decent selection of shops, bars, and restaurants in Fortuneswell as well as a fascinating maze of lanes that twist their way up a high hill to provide spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond.
