Whilst we enjoyed our stay at Casa Carmen there were some things which we were disappointed with.. The house was well positioned for walking into the town centre, close to the coast and a comfortable base to spend a week. There were three of us including one child aged 10 years old. Over the years we have been on many self catering holidays and never before have we come across a property which did not have a basic essential, until now. Believe it or not, Casa Carmen, did not have a freezer - not even a small ice box in the fridge. Incredible!!! We were looking forward to being able to enjoy ice creams for dessert, so not having a freezer meant we could not buy any frozen food which was a shame. A freezer (however small) is an ESSENTIAL item for self catering and another ESSENTIAL item is a tin opener and there wasn't one of those either. The TV left a lot to be desired too, the poor choice of available channels to watch and if the volume was on a low setting, that was fine, because if the setting was higher then an irritating crackling noise could be heard. It would have been nice if there had been some books and board games, but there were none of those either. Casa Carmen was ok, but most certainly not worth the £849 it cost us.
