Swanage is a seaside resort situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck. The town is best known for its gently shelving golden sands but also plays host to plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood. The town's pier is great for strolling and fishing or why not take a trip on the Swanage Railway, enjoying a 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside.

What a lovely, cosy cottage.! The property is bigger than it looks from the outside. Had everything we needed and a warm and homely feel to it. Swanage is also a beautiful area. Would definitely return to this holiday home.

First impressions are a small terraced quarrymen's cottage on the outskirts of Swanage however, there is a Tardis effect when you go in. Cosy living room with beautiful solid purbeck stone 3 foot thick walls. Kitchen is ample with all the mod cons and a generous dining room table.. Modern bathroom on ground floor. Bedrooms were large and well decorated. Had the best sleep. Garden was small but perfectly adequate for a BBQ on the deck. Views from the top bedroom overlook farmers fields with the heritage railway puffing through a cutting. There is a train station 200m away for trips to Corfe Castle. For the price of what we paid I cannot fault. Easily sleeps 6. Perfect for a family. 2 pubs, a fish and chips and a curry restaurant 2 mins away. The Royal Oak pub nearby does a outstanding Sunday dinner for around £6. They say its the most haunted pub in Dorset. The Landlady is very knowledgeable about the history and has featured on TV ghost hunting shows

Comfortable beds, pubs nearby and quieter location than centre of Swanage, which we prefer. Loved sitting on the balcony at the end of the day in the evening sun; great views of the hills. I would defintely stay again.
