Goodrest is a well-presented detached cottage, set on the edge of Verwood in Dorset and is surrounded by its own garden. The cottage can sleep four people in one double room and one twin room. There is a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC. There is a kitchen, a sitting room with electric fire and a dining room. Outside there is a lawned garden surrounding the cottage with furniture. There is off road parking for two cars. Goodrest is in a great location from which to explore this fascinating area. A lovely cottage, in an ideal location to explore some of the best of the South West.

Verwood can be found in rural East Dorset, close to the borders of Hampshire and Wiltshire, only 5 miles from Ringwood, home to the Moors Valley Country Park. Verwood is surrounded by farmland and countryside, and makes a great touring centre.

Explore the fossils and stunning beaches of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, visit historic Sherborne and Shaftesbury, or enjoy the footpaths, country lanes and thatched-roof pubs Dorset offers.

Lovely 1930s cottage.. Quiet location within easy driving distance of many attractions. Made to feel very welcome by the owners. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.

The bungalow was homely and the owners where welcoming.. Central for visits to Monkey World and Heavy Horse Farm. Suggest you take your own food. We enjoyed the meals we had in the evenings at The Monmouth Ash also The Hollow is excelent for breakfast or lunch. Ringwood market ! was very disappointing. Only a handful of stalls. If wanting a trip to the coast make an early start as parking is hard to find.

We could have asked for nothing more from our week in Goodrest.. Starting with a lovely warm welcome from Sylvia and Brian we settled immediately into the immaculately clean bungalow in its lovely peaceful setting. We discovered we were close to local amenities and shops and that, as well as all the attractions of the nearby forest, we had a great base for touring the local area, whether by car or local buses- we found Bournemouth, Poole and even Weymouth were in reach. A lovely week that we hope at some point to repeat.

We were made very welcome by Brian and Sylvia on arrival, and enjoyed a peaceful week in this clean, well equipped and comfortable cottage.. It's new to Sykes, although the visitor books show evidence of many years of good reviews from earlier visitors.
