Area Witheridge is a delightful small village in the lovely Devon countryside with many little old cottages, a bar, a convenience store, a newsagent, and even a travelling pizza van that comes to the village every Wednesday to offer wood-fired pizzas or a fish and chip van that visits every Friday. Just a short drive away is the lovely, thatched village of Kings Nympton, which was selected as Devon's Village of the Year in 1999 by the Campaign for the Preservation of Rural England.
