The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size (zip/link to a twin on request only) with Smart TV, a king-size, and a twin (zip/link to a Sper king size on request only), along with two bathrooms. Outside, there is a rear garden with lawn, patio, gas BBQ and furniture, as well as off-road parking for two cars on a shared driveway. Traditional cot and highchair available on request. Two well-behaved dogs welcome with an additional charge of £25 per dog. Sorry, no smoking. Fuel, power, a starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. Whiddon Down has a fine pub, it's just minutes away from Okehampton which is one of the main gateways to Dartmoor, and in the other direction rests Chagford. A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Chagford is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as a public tennis court and a seasonal, open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure. Its wonderful setting, beautiful 15th and 16th century buildings, stylish independent shops, arts and crafts, world-class festivals and restaurants make it an absolute must-see for any visitor to Dartmoor. Fine dining, unique pubs and places to stay plus literary links, a wealth of Dartmoor legend and friendly locals are certainly worth a visit. The town is full of history and stories.
