Area Salcombe is a resort town in the South Hams district of Devon, an ideal base for people who enjoy walking and are looking for a holiday by the sea. Nearby are the two sandy beaches of North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s. Within the town itself there is a large selection of locally sourced seafood, enjoyed within a number of restaurants, pubs and cafés.

The cottage is actually much better with more room and facilities than on the description or photos.. We were not expecting that. The cleaning could have been better with long term bird droppings on the upstairs french doors and dust where maybe there shouldn’t be but it didn’t detract from an enjoyable experience by all. There was a small mix up with keys not being available which could have been handled better but overall we are very pleased with everything. It is a great house in a fine position.
