Maristow Barton is a big detached Georgian house in countryside 1 ½ miles from the Devon village of Milton Combe. The house sleeps 16 people in eight bedrooms over the first and second floor, five double and three twin with eight bath and shower rooms. On the ground floor is a hall, sitting room with open fire and dining area, a TV room and a kitchen. Outside is an enclosed courtyard with barbecues and furniture, a big lawn, a games room and a jetty on the River Tavy for launching a small boat. With style and comfort, Maristow Barton is an amazing house for a sociable break in Devon.

Stayed in June 2021. Fantastic stay and beautiful accommodation deep in Devon close to Plymouth. We all had a memorable stay from our young baby to the adults including my grandparents and definitely child friendly home. Jonathan the owner was so helpful and attentive whenever we had a question. Definitely will visit again. Ash

Stunning character house in a very rural location, deep in the Devon countryside, but close to Plymouth, the coast, and Dartmoor. So peaceful and quiet. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and furnished in their own theme with very comfortable beds, luxurious showers or roll top baths. The house is like a luxury hotel, with plenty of room for all. It was the best house we have ever stayed in with every thing provided, including some food and drinks to get us settled in. Johnathan, the owner was very friendly and on call to ensure we had the best holiday. We will be back

Loved it! They have thought of everything.. We can also recommend the pub nearby called "Who'd Have Thought It" which is a cosy country pub that serves exceptional food.

The house on the whole was faboulous, very comfortable and had everything we could want generally.. It's in a beautiful location and we all arrived without any problems. It would have been helpful with instructions for cookers how to use as this took us some time to work out. Also helpful would be a information folder with everything in one place for quick reference. Although it did not detract from the quality of our stay the games room was not as advertised. If people were staying with younger children this may have been very disappointing if they were relying on this to keep children entertained.

Really beautiful area.. House was lovely but the only thing we were disappointed with was the games room - we couldn’t play darts as they were broken and bent and couldn’t play pool as the cues didn’t have any tips. Apart from that the stay was perfect. The Dartmoor Inn did a superb meal for us on one of the days so the recommendation to use them was excellent. Many thanks for your help.
