Outside there is a furnished terrace with pretty estuary views. Situated by the water in Kingsbridge, with its pubs, restaurants and shops, 1 Crabshell Quay is a great base for a couple or family.

Area
The bustling market town of Kingsbridge lies at the head of a marine estuary in the attractive South Hams area of South Devon. During the summer season there are river excursions to Salcombe to see the abundant wildlife in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which also forms part of the South Devon Heritage Coast. Visitors can take a walk along the Kingsbridge Quay, to the Crabshell Inn, where you can hire stand up paddleboards, or wander through the narrow alleys off Fore Street. Kingsbridge is a central location to explore picturesque ports, such as Dartmouth and Salcombe, together with sandy beaches at Blackpool Sands and the two sandy beaches at Thurlestone. There are a host of small attractive villages nearby offering interesting pubs, local farm produce shops and pretty rows of cottages, plus further afield the waterfront city of Plymouth is a vibrant centre housing the National Marine Aquarium, historic Barbican Quay and plenty of night life, including theatres, restaurants and bars.

This apartment is good for those with mobility problems, being on the ground floor, and is well appointed.. It is well situated for looking around the South Hams, and is also good for visiting further afield in Devon such as Plymouth, Dartmoor and Exeter. Kingsbridge is good for shopping, with many individual shops as well as supermarkets.

The accommodation ‘could’ be perfect however there are a number of issues.. The decor needs re pairing, when you consider the sheer expense of this apartment you expect ‘perfect’ The toilet in the main bathroom splashes up and out every time you flush. The mop in the cleaning cupboard is well past it’s sell by date. The cutlery and cups plates etc were dirty. The dishwasher isn’t working very well and isn’t cleaning properly hence we did the majority of washing up by hand. The bedding definitely did NOT smell clean. The security gates were never closed in over 2 weeks Cooker clearer instructions needed, we ate out 95% of the time, causing huge expense as we weren’t confident in using the cooker The blind in the lounge are broken,as are the wall lights, in fairness coast and country offered to come in and repair but I didn’t take up their offer The bath has a horrid stain and after a a serious clean by me it still would go, this also needs attention The owners of this property really should up their game, what could be a beautiful apartment is currently lacking in many areas
