Pheasant Cottage is a lovely semi-detached cottage set on a working farm in Watermouth near Berrynarbor in Devon and can sleep six people. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a ground floor room with adult bunks, a ground floor bathroom, a kitchen, a sitting room with a gas fire and a dining area. Outside there is off road parking for one car, a private enclosed garden with furniture and sea view, a shared private beach 500 yards away and a shared picnic area, dog exercise field and playground. Pheasant Cottage is an ideal base.

Area
The village of Berrynarbor is ideally placed at the end of the wonderful Sterridge Valley. The village is surrounded by woodlands and farms. The narrow streets are beautifully lined with cottages, gardens and floral displays. This part of Devon is also designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, perfect for walkers and birdwatchers, due to the coastal cliffs and rugged landscape. The North Devon Coastal Path is also an essential part of your holiday if you enjoy walking. The coastal towns and villages of Illfracombe, Combe Martin, Barnstaple and Woolacombe are only a short drive away. This area of North Devon is in a beautiful part of the country and a region that the whole family will enjoy all year round.

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Note: The owners do have Wi-fi in the cottages, however being in a secluded spot, the wi-fi speed is much slower, which means streaming etc can be difficult Sending and receiving emails and messages is fine as well as internet browsing They are continuously investing in top of the range boosters to improve this but sometimes guests may experience intermittency This is beyond their control. Please note: Between 1st April - 30th September, this owner can only accommodate bookings on Friday changeovers.

My family and I had a really lovely holiday over the Easter weekend.. Pheasant cottage is recently refurbished and is beautiful - clean, comfortable and stylish. The whole farm is so relaxed and welcoming and the sea views are beautiful. My boys loved feeding the farm animals and the owners were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. We walked down to the private beach a few times and spent a good few hours skimming stones, crabbing and fishing (no success, but fun anyway!) Close proximity to lots of lovely coves and the long sandy beach of Woolacombe. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and would visit again. Thanks.

This was a fabulous mini break in beautiful surroundings.. The accommodation is excellent and very comfortable (especially the beds!). The farm is in an ideal location for striking out across North Devon, although there is plenty to keep you occupied on the site too. The private beach is great and there are walks along the coastline. We loved feeding the animals each morning (as well as collecting the eggs) and it was a real hit with our little boy. We booked Pheasant Cottage as the site seemed an ideal place to bring a toddler - which it was. Equally, it would be great for families with older children or adults too. We'd have no hesitation in recommending Widmouth Farm Cottages. It was a warm welcome (complete with cream tea) and a wonderful stay. Everything is well thought through and the owners ensure a care-free stay. Bring your wellies!

The cottage is wonderful! Great location, close to the private beach and just a short drive to others. The farm manager, Mike, is a very friendly and helpful guy and shared his knowledge of the farm and surrounding areas willingly. It was a fabulous holiday and we will definitely be back
