The View is a delightful single storey bungalow is situated on the owner’s working farm in beautiful rural Devon, two miles from the bustling village of Hartland and can sleep four people in one double bedroom with en-suite and one twin room. There is a family shower room. The rest of the property contains a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with sea views. To the outside there is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed lawned garden with furniture. The View is a lovely rural retreat, ideal for families and couples looking to explore the coast and countryside of Devon.

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double with en-suite P-shaped bath, shower over, basin and WC and veranda, 1 x twin. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with electric fire.

Area
The village of Hartland provides visitors with a craft shop, good pubs and several places to eat. The village of Clovelly lies just 5 miles away and is renowned for its steep cobbled streets and 14th Century harbour. The unspoilt coastal resorts of Bude and Bideford are both within 15 miles making this a superb base for a varied and enjoyable holiday.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: There are four steps to access the property, may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Note: There is livestock nearby, pets must be supervised at all times. Note: No BBQ's to be used on site.

The Dovecote was amazing! So restful looking out at the stunning views. The cottage was spotlessly clean and we wanted for nothing. The bottle of wine, the home made cake, amazing free range eggs from the chickens you see from the window were such a nice touch. The garden was secure for the dog. The beds really comfortable. A great base for walking the coast path. Some beautiful places to visit and some great pubs serving good food a short drive away. We were made to feel so welcome by Kath and family. One of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed. Felt like home and can’t wait to go back

Lovely place to stay.. Clean and tidy with everything you need for a weeks stay. Handy lane for walking the dog. Great homemade cake and some very tasty eggs in the kitchen on our arrival.

Lovely holiday let, comfy clean and well equipped.. Beautiful views out to sea. Added touches make the difference, the owner had left a lemon drizzle cake (delicious!), wine, eggs and milk. We had a really enjoyable break. Definitely recommend. GJ

Greeted by the owner and lemon drizzle cake, bottle of wine and fresh eggs as a welcoming gift.. Perfect location to explore North Devon and Cornwall. Very quiet and picturesque location. Cottage had everything you could need for self catering. Would definitely book there again.

The dovecote was a lovely exceptionally clean cottage,Jean met us as we arrived .... The dovecote was a lovely exceptionally clean cottage,Jean met us as we arrived and showed us all around,the cottage was really clean ,the bed was really comfortable also the lounge suite,she left us a lovely lemon drizzle cake also a bottle of wine milk and eggs and it was made to feel really homely by the fresh flowers on the table thankyou so much,we will miss the moo moos and the chickens sleeping on the gate every night

Lovely location, lovely views, lovely people.. Nice to see the cows moo-ching past. Be prepared for some typically tight West Country lanes.

Lovely cottage, beautiful location.. A wonderful welcome from the owners, who left us milk, eggs (from the chickens next to the cottage!) a bottle of wine and home made cake! It was great for our dog, with a circular walk around the farm well marked, including lanes, fields and woodland. It is a working farm so respect for livestock is a must, but the garden is safely enclosed. We had a really great week - plenty to see and do whatever the weather!

We had a wonderful week in the cottage.. The cottage was like home from home, very comfortable and well equipped, the views were stunning and the owners were very friendly and helpful, such nice people. We shall be returning again.

Absolutely Fabulous, the holiday home was well equipped, in a rural, charming setting on a working farm it was lovely to see the cows each morning and evening going for milking.. Clare the owner made us very welcome with lots of goodies on arrival, would highly recommend this holiday home
