Swallows Barn is a stunning semi-detached barn conversion located near the vibrant town of Brixham in the rural Devon countryside. It can sleep six people very comfortably in three luxurious bedrooms three deluxe en-suite bathrooms. There is open-plan living downstairs with a spacious kitchen, dining and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside is a shared garden and summer house. Swallows Barn is a beautiful cottage, the ideal location to escape to in the English Riviera.

Open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.

Area
Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

This is our second stay here as we love these 2 barns.swifts and swallow barns run by Laurie and Russell. The barns are in a lovely peaceful location but opposite a working farm and close to plenty of shops and supermarkets. The barns are both 3 bedrooms all ensuites.and extremely well equipped. We highly recommend. If ever we visit devon we will always check availability on these first.these barns are exactly what holiday accommodation should be,home from home.thanks again for another fantastic stay

This conversion is a really high specification and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Beautifully done in every room and small touches added to the experience. Fantastic lemon drizzle cake on arrival made by Laurie. A few miles max to all the places you want to visit. Brixham 10 mins away. Would not hesitate to book again. Idyllic and restful

This a lovely recently renovated barn which is comfortable and stylish.. The owners are helpful and friendly and make a good lemon drizzle cake! This location is ideal for trips to Paignton, Dartmouth and Brixham ; there is so much to do in the area, and many good restaurants. Despite some dodgy weather we had a great time!

Swallows Barn has been beautifully converted by the owners to provide luxury accommodation.. We have probably rented 20+ properties in the West Country over the past 10-15 years, and this is the best we have stayed in. All of the bedrooms are a fantastic size with top of the range en-suite bathrooms to accompany them. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need for your holiday. There is ample parking and the fully enclosed walled garden is pet friendly and a lovely place for children to play and for the adults to sit and enjoy an evening drink. The barn is ideally located for those wishing to visit Paignton, Torquay, Brixham & Dartmouth. The nearby beach of Broadsands (2.5miles) is safe for children and well worth a visit.

Great barn conversion beautiful and spacious.. In a lovely courtyard setting. We really enjoyed the space and comfort of the facilities - very well kitted out. The area is lovely too - we don’t like the busy Torbay area but greatly enjoyed amazing country walks with the dog around the Greenway House area (the house and gardens are well worth a visit) and also popping over to Dartmouth and Dittisham on the ferry. Highly recommend Swallows Barn!

"Swallows" is the product of a wonderful barn conversion retaining its farmyard exterior but with a very modern and comfortable and beautifully furnished interior.. It lacks nothing and even when the weather is bad - as it was for us on 3 days - it was great just enjoying a "sofa" day in "Swallows".

My two weeks at swallows barn were absolutely spectacular! Laurie and Roz and Russ is mama Janet could not have been more welcoming and kind. The barn is absolutely stunning. Every imaginable detail has been considerate and it was beautifully appointed, very spacious, and the environment in which it is it it is absolutely gorgeous. I received lots of wonderful ideas for places to visit while I was there and my small beagle Maizie and I enjoyed every moment of our time in Waddeton. I highly recommend swallows barn to anyone looking to explore this part of Devon. I can’t wait to return!

We had a lovely time staying at the swallows barn.. It was a real home from home with everything we needed to make our holiday that bit more special. There was plenty of room so that 4 adults, 1 baby and 2 dogs didn’t get under each other’s feet! The converted barn we stayed in for the week was amazing.. It was exactly as promised, but with added extras that showed the owners went the extra mile to make everybody, including the dog, welcome. The barn was situated in a location that made it easy to get to the many places to visit whilst in Devon. Swallows barn is a superb holiday home which has been meticulously restored to standards way beyond our expectations.. The owners Russ and Laurie have created a beautiful home with immaculately presented rooms and everything you could ever wish for with a large garden which is also maintained to the highest levels. The location is also perfect, only a short drive from Brixham, Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes. This is certainly the best home we have stayed in in the West Country and we have been to quite a few, we will be back for sure and i strongly suggest if your looking for a rental in this area this is the best by far, you won’t be disappointed.
