We were given the wrong code of the key safe, arrived 6:15pm couldn't get in owners next door were out, no mobile signal, after trying different combinations of the number given drove down to the pub about half a mile away to see if they had wifi, they didn't.. They knew the caretakers father so phoned him, the caretaker then phoned the pub back and gave me a completely different code for the key safe. We can't thank the pub landlord enough for the help he gave us. Eventually got in the property after 8pm. Also the road through the village was closed and the email telling us of this was not sent until just before we arrived. I have a phone that just makes phone calls. I did have my tablet with me but there was no hotspots around so couldn't use it until we were in the cottage. The caretaker did leave us a bottle of wine the following day.
There was no freezer in the property and as the nearest decent shop was a 25 min drive away it would have made life easier to have a freezer or even a fridge with a freezer compartment.
The bathrooms were built into the eves and it was difficult to use the loo without banging your head.
