Larksworthy Cottage is a pretty, thatched cottage in the town of North Tawton. The cottage has a king-size double bedroom and a single bedroom. Downstairs is the bathroom, along with the kitchen, dining room and sitting room. Outside is roadside parking on a first come, first served basis and a garden with furniture, while the shop and pub are just a short walk away. Larksworthy Cottage is ideally placed for enjoying Dartmoor, heading to Okehampton or enjoying either of Devon's beautiful coastlines.

The charming country town of North Tawton quietly rests amidst lush green fields, high hedgerows and winding lanes, just 7.5 miles north of historic Okehampton. Nestling between the high, rugged tors of Dartmoor and the wide sandy beaches and rolling surf of the North Devon coast, this delightful town boasts picturesque thatched cottages and quaint pubs and restaurants.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Roadside parking outside cottage on first come, first served basis. Enclosed garden with decked area, furniture and BBQ. Two well behaved dog welcome. Please note, there is a £25.00 pet supplement charge per booking. Sorry,no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk. Note: There is one step down from the sitting room to the dining area. Please note, the Bathroom has been renovated, therefore there will be new photographs on the site in May.

We had a lovely time at Larksworthy Cottage, however you must be prepared to do lots of driving on narrow roads and come home with a sore back from the uncomfortable bed.. The kitchen was well kitted-out which helped. Parking was a nightmare and I wouldn't return for this reason.

Stunning cottage! ! Very well equiped especially the kitchen, I even did a roast! Really was a home from home. The beds were heavenly, like sleeping in a marshmallow, likewise the sofa was comfy and great for everyone to snuggle up together. Loads of books and dvds/cds to use. The mini hi-fi didn't work but we put the cds into the tv and they played. The log fire would be lovely on a cold winters night. Lots of leaflets and info about local places to visit, restaurants etc. Friendly village location. We visited Lydford gorge just 20 mins away, Okehampton, Exeter 1 hr and highly recommend Woolacombe beach, also an hrs drive. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone and would love to stay again!

We had a lovely holiday.. The cottage was well equipped and very nicely laid out with heaps of character and lots of useful info on the surrounding areas. The only thing I would suggest is getting a new mattress for the double bed as it was uncomfortable. The garden and views were very pretty but the garden did need a little TLC, as it did not look like the photos... just little points to mention. All in all a nice cottage in a good location and walking distance to the village which had good amenities too.

We Could not find a fault with the cottage, it was very well equipped and the information packs left at the cottage very helpful, the cottage was situated central to most visiting areas if you are willing to travel.. Local eminaties worth a visit especially the local fish and chip shop!

The cottage was lovely , we had a really relaxing holiday .. The cottage was very cosy and extremely well equipped. The furnishings were very nice and in keeping. We visited lots of places and had serveral train rides . The cottage is well placed to get to North or south Devon . We will be returning and recommending to our friends.

We were snowed in and had great support from the owner and housekeeper and handyman with a very quick resolution to a leak from the boiler.. The cottage could've been cleaner (cobwebs and crockery) and the mattress firmer but overall it had all we needed.

We both had an extremely pleasant stay.. The location was lovely as were the local community, always met with friendly faces. We had an issue with the rubbish collection insomuch as the recycling material was not collected. It may be that clearer instructions are needed as the definition of "recyclable material" could vary from Council to Council. Prior to arrival it may help future guest if they were made aware of what domestic essentials they need to provide ie washing up liquid, toilet paper etc. We make this comment because our previous Skykes Cottage had this. We hope that these comments are taken as constructive as we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and they are meant to assist not complain. The only reason we would not stay again is because we like to explore new places each time so it has no reflection on the beautiful Larksworthy Cottage. Thank you.

An extractor fan in the kitchen would be a good idea to reduce condensation from cooking (as the window is fixed shut)..

This was our second visit to Larksworthy Cottage and we had a brilliant time.. Our youngest little boy was 1 the day we arrived and we found a card, some cupcakes and party poppers on the table to welcome us - such a nice gesture! The cottage was perfect for myself, my husband and our 2 young boys. The location was great, with lots to do in every direction within about an hour’s drive of the cottage.
