Exe View is a neat cottage attached to a house in the Devon coastal town of Dawlish. The cottage sleeps two people in one downstairs double bedroom with en suite shower room. Upstairs is a sitting room with dining area and a kitchen. Outside is a shared balcony with lovely views and a sitting out area in the owner's’ garden. About a mile from the town centre and beach, Exe View is a brilliant base to discover the delights of a Devon holiday.

A couple of miles north east of the town of Dawlish is Dawlish Warren, a mile-long sand spit at the mouth of the River Exe on the stretch of south Devon coastline known as the English Riviera. Dawlish Warren has a selection of shops selling essentials, a golf course and a 55-acre nature reserve, an area of international importance for wildlife, and a roosting site for huge numbers of wading birds and wildfowl that winter on the estuary

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Accommodation was excellent.. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and extremely well appointed. The owners, who were very nice, have really thought of everything and added some nice personal touches as well. The view of the sea from the balcony is also lovely. Dawlish itself is very pleasant and well located for access to surrounding areas using the excellent rail and bus service, all of which added up to an enjoyable holiday.

Dawlish and surrounding areas are wonderful places to be to spend a holiday.. The owners of the cottage were very helpful with places to visit and recommending restaurants to eat. Most places were within walking distance of the cottage. We will definitely return for another holiday. Many thanks.

Fabulous apartment, very comfortable throughout.. Very well equipped, everything thought about, a home from home. Lovely welcome from friendly hosts. Great location just a short walk into Dawlish. Enjoyed the view of the coast from the upstairs living room. We had some lovely walks along the sea wall to Teignmouth & Dawlish Warren, used the train to go further to Torbay, great value tickets. Easy to leave the car on the drive all week.

The accommodation was well presented and very well equipped and a pleasant welcome gift was given.. It was very comfortable. It is positioned to enable good interesting walks in the area leaving the car on the front drive. The balcony is pleasant, giving a good view of Dawlish Warren, and is sheltered from wind.

Excellent pre-arrival directions from both Helpful Holidays and the owners meant we found the cottage with ease. We were greeted to a welcome bottle of fizz and nibbles on arrival- what a lovely touch. We enjoyed our fizz on the balcony looking out at the lovely views along with some pizzas we had brought- perfect. Shiny new kitchen, nice bathroom downstairs and also a second toilet upstairs- useful. Lovely bedroom with views to the pretty garden. Ample lounge with sofa, super-comfy electric reclining chair (bliss after a long day walking!) and tables and chairs both inside and out. Everything you would need in the kitchen provided, and linens and towels in the bedroom- appreciated! The owners were super helpful and nice and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed and also gave us good recommendations of places to visit. We had a lovely week's stay and it was a great base for exploring South Devon- we didn't use the car much at all, as it was only a short walk to the coastal path and the train station- easy to explore in both directions on the local and very reasonably priced trains. We also enjoyed some lovely meals out. Thanks for a lovely holiday, would highly recommend!

Although I was staying for the four nights on my own, Sue and Andy made me feel very welcome, safe in the knowledge that if there was a problem there was someone there to solve it for me, so that I felt completely comfortable in their lovely home. They had thought of everything to make my stay special, down to the quality soaps and bath shampoos and a lovely touch, the hospitality tray that included milk, said hortbreads, tea and coffee and a box of chocolates all of the highest quality. Quality .That is the word that I would best describe my stay here. I think the nicest memory for me was my having my coffee every morning watching the sunrise on the balcony. Truly Magical! We stayed here for 6 nights in August. Great location and great property. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and really helped to make our holiday special - nothing was too much trouble. We had a great break and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property. It was clean, well laid out and had everything (and more) for a self catering stay.
