View The Gallery is a unique retreat near to Okehampton in Devon. The cottage can sleep two people in a super king-size double bedroom with a bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. To the outside are front and side enclosed lawned gardens with patio and furniture as well as off road parking for one car. Set in stunning surroundings, View The Gallery is a great place to enjoy at any time of the year.

All ground floor. One super king size double (can be two twins on request) bedroom. Bathroom with bath, shower, WC and basin. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove, double sofa bed available.

Area
Okehampton is a busy market town on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and near the highest and most dramatic areas of the moor. To the north of Okehampton are some beautiful rolling Devon hills where small farming villages nestle amidst woods and fields with plenty of gently flowing rivers. Okehampton has a prominent medieval castle overlooking a wooded river valley, the Museum of Dartmoor Life (where Tourist Information can be found) and Okehampton train station.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Front and side enclosed lawned garden with patio, fire pit and furniture, Dog friendly secure fencing. Two well behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Pubs and shops 4 miles from property. Lovely cottage, superb views and the owners are very hospitable and ready to help.. Superb super king size bed, VERY comfortable! Amazingly spacious cottage, well worth a visit. Gill (owner) asked if there was any way they could improve things and we suggested they leave a written guide regarding recycling bins etc. - she was very amenable to any suggestions. Give this cottage a visit - it's a central location which is great for exploring the surrounding areas! Highly recommended!

The Gallery is lovely, spacious and well equipped, everything you need in the kitchen, I have been in places where it is basic.. The garden is really big enough for two dogs to run around and look at the horses and sheep. The view is lovely looking over to Dartmoor (was on the Friday when we got there, thereafter the weather was awful, so Dartmoor covered in cloud and mist) that is British weather. Overall is was great, and Derek and Gill could not be more helpful and the scones, jam and cream delicious. Will go back again.
