Outside is a lawn and shrub garden along the track. Along a footpath from the picturesque village of Postbridge with its pub and shop, The Annexe is an ideal base in the heart of Dartmoor for a Devon break.

Widecombe is tucked away in a Dartmoor valley with the spectacular moorland and tors rising up on all sides, making it a perfect location for walkers, mountain bikers, riders or those that love dramatic landscapes.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

We couldn't find a broom or dustpan and brush.. No mention was made on your website that pets were not allowed upstairs. We would not have booked it if we had known. Apart from above we enjoyed our stay very much.

Val and Julian the owners were very friendly and helpful, and couldn't have done more for our family.. The property had everything needed to make our stay an excellent one. The location is ideal, even though Postbridge is very popular with walkers, we hardly saw anyone walk by the cottage on the permissive path/bridleway. So enjoyed our stay we have already booked it again.

The Annexe is a great place if you want to get away from it all and enjoy walking.. There are several walks from the property and even a friendly pub for a late pub lunch on the way back.

This was a lovely comfortable and peaceful Annexe, ideally located for walkers and dog walkers.. Short walk downhill to (dog friendly) pub and village or another takes you down steep rocky path to river. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Postbridge would benefit from a cafe or coffee shop, there are plenty of visitors and walkers passing through. Post Office offers limited refreshments with just four wooden tables outside.
