Little Week Cottage is a romantic little cottage on a Devon smallholding in the pretty village of Bridestowe. This lovely cottage can sleep two people in one double bedroom, and has a smart bathroom. There is a warm and inviting sitting room with wood burning stove, dining area and a well fitted kitchen. Outside you have your own enclosed garden with long countryside views to Dartmoor’s highest points, patio and table and chairs. Little Week Cottage is ideally placed for exploring Dartmoor’s wild fringes or further afield.

One king-size double bedroom. Fitted kitchen, pretty sitting room with large inglenook, wood burning stove, window seat, and dining area. Ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.

Area
Nestling among mature woodland on the western slopes of Dartmoor, the historic village of Lydford is a jewel in this area of outstanding scenic beauty. To the north, just half a mile away, the high tors come right down to the village edge, while to the south the River Lyd winds its way through Lydford Forest on its tumbling course northwards.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Note: This property has a private water supply which is tested regularly.

What more can we say.. Arrived to a welcome from Clare, and upon entering Little Week Cottage, we saw that she had left a freshly baked cake, 6 fresh eggs and a pint of milk. The cottage had everything you needed, and very comfortable. Situated in mid devon, all places easily reached. Very quiet and relaxing. Hope to come again and would highly recommend this cottage.

What a wonderful cottage! I was worried that it was too close to the A30 as the crow flies but all I could hear was birdsong and the wind in the trees. So comfortable and cosy. Kitchen had everything we could want, and more. Lovely, modern bathroom. Spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, warm bedding. Loved the log burner. We didn’t have good weather but enjoyed days hunkered down with the fire on, just resting. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time at Little week cottage, it was so quiet and peaceful.. We particularly enjoyed being in the private garden with views of Dartmoor and just watching the birds. The location was excellent, it felt like the middle of nowhere but Okehampton was about 20 minutes away, the A30 even closer. There were plenty of shops in Okehampton, and lots of things to do nearby, including places to eat (very good food). We had planned to make lots of day trips, but it was so lovely, most days we just walked from the cottage.

Little Week Cottage was even better than expected, the way it was finished off inside and the attention to detail was very good.. Having the owners next door was not known when we booked but was in no way an issue, actually made it feel more personal. We would recommend the cottage to anyone and may well book it again ourselves in future.
