The Linney is a cottage converted from a barn on a traditional Devon farm near the little town of Colyton. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, a double and twin, with a family bathroom. On the ground floor is an open plan living space with seating area, dining area, kitchen and doors to a patio.There is an adjacent shared laundry room. Outside is also a big shared lawn with barbecue and a games barn. 2 Dogs accepted fee charged for second. Four miles from Colyton, The Linney is a friendly cottage for a Devon break.

Area
Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

This lovely cottage is a favourite of ours.. It is very clean, comfortable and the owners are welcoming and helpful. The views from the garden are amazing and our little dog loved going out to watch the cows and chickens.

The actual booking was difficult.. We had a question for the owners and whilst that was being communicated our week was put on pre-booking without notification us. That made it seem someone else made a reservation that week and so we almost booked something else. The intention was perfect but good have been better communicated. The cottage was more then we expected. It was in a beautiful location. It was very well looked after, complete and the owners were amazing. We loved it! The one improvement that could be made are better mattresses on the beds.

This was our fifth time staying at The Linney, but my parents, brother, sister in law and niece's first time (they were in Battens).. Sue and Simon are so lovely and the farm feels like coming home. My daughters are both very fond of the place, as are we. New outdoor furniture was welcomed. The Holmes family.

Lovely, comfortable accommodation.. Spotlessly clean. Sue and Simon, who're on site, were perfect hosts. We enjoyed the quiet, rural setting and our kids liked the table tennis and table football in the games room too.

The Linney was in a perfect spot with wonderful views.. It is in an ideal position for exploring East Devon. We had wonderful weather and enjoyed some lovely walks with our dogs!! Sue and Simon were perfect hosts welcoming us with cake, milk eggs and wine!!! Would definitely recommend this cottage!!

The location of the property, being a lovely barn conversion out in the countryside in the peace and quiet.. Everything was clean and tidy and obviously well looked after. The property owners were really nice and nothing was too much trouble. Home made cake, fresh eggs, milk and wine were all very much appreciated. Able to eat outdoors in the garden, admire the view and just relax and take it easy. We would have stayed longer if we could, but I'm pretty sure it's fully booked. Ideally situated, being just a few miles from Seaton, Beer, Lyme Regis and other great places to see. Would definitely go there again if we wanted the ideal holiday home in East Devon.
