Area A charming town in Devon's Dartmoor National Park. Chagford, one of Dartmoor's five Stannary towns, is small in size but big on amenities and activities. There are many shops and four pubs. Chagford also has a public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool for your enjoyment. It's a historic town with a 1200's Three Crowns Hotel. As well as an annual running race, Chagford is known for its culture. Exeter, a bustling, beautiful city, is just over 21 miles away and well worth a visit. Okehampton, a lovely town, is only 12 miles away.
