West Hill is a charming woodland village, home to a convenience store and local pizza van, located in a quiet corner of East Devon. Take a short drive or a train journey into Exeter to be spoilt for choice with shops, bars and eateries, as well as striking views of Exeter Cathedral. Further afar, you can explore Dartmoor National Park, the Blackdown Hills and East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Crealy Theme Park and Resort, Wildwood Escot Animal Park, or the beach at Exmouth.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. It was sparking clean from floor to ceiling! We enjoyed our summer evenings in the garden having barbecues while playing card games. The coast is picturesque too. We wished we had booked longer but we will definitely be back again! Thank you for your superb hospitality.

Really well furnished comfortable cottage with a lovely small but private garden which catches the afternoon sun, great for a glass of wine after a day of walking or sightseeing (or a BBQ in the summer). We loved staying here while exploring East Devon. Aylesbeare is a lovely little village as well and fairly handy for the coast. We also ate out at the local pub (the Nightjar) a couple of nights which is just across the car park from the cottage and had some really good meals. Overall we found the cottage and surroundings really relaxing and we had a great stay. Will go there again.

We stayed here over Christmas and had such an amazing stay. Tucked away in a quaint countryside village, we went off exploring throughout the day to all the local towns and coastlines. Then, in the evening we would often pop into the local bar in the village (the Nightjar) and have a few drinks and some yummy dinner, before heading back to the cottage, putting on the log burner and play cards or games. The cottage had all we needed, was really comfortable and homely and we look forward to returning again.
