Buxton is known for its magnificent Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. There is walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area.

The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

We really enjoyed staying at this homely, comfy flat. Its in a fabulous location to enjoy all that Buxton has to offer, especially the Pavilion Gardens which are a few minutes walk away. We loved the modern kitchen and bathroom and really felt like we were 'coming home' every evening, especially when the weather wasn't so good. We really appreciated, too, the comfy bed, wine and milk, and all the extras like flannels, soap etc... it had everything we needed. We had a little difficulty knowing which parking bay to use, and where the entrance to the flat was, so maybe better instructions for this would be good, but otherwise the flat was absolutely perfect and we would thoroughly recommend, and try to return if visiting the area again.

Although we had a little difficulty finding the property, once we did, we could not have been more delighted with it. The Haven is spacious, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. Everything worked perfectly and lots of the basics needed for a week away from home were provided. This even included a very nice bottle of red wine. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was warm and cosy. We really felt really at home in The Haven and look forward to returning soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Haven.. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and in a great position for a short stroll into town. The apartment had everything we needed. It was lovely and bright, warm and comfortable. (I don’t think I’ve slept in a more comfortable bed!). It was close enough to everything (approx 5 min walk to the Opera House/Pavillion) yet lovely and quiet as it’s set back from the road. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone who is looking to stay in Buxton. We’d definitely stay there again.

A very nice flat , good base for exploring the Peak District , just one request , a headboard on the bed would have been nice as we both like to read in bed, otherwise very good facilities and pleasant and helpful owners..
