Broadway Barn is a superb barn conversion in the hamlet of Priestcliffe, near to Bakewell in the Peak District. The cottage sleeps twelve people in two double bedrooms (both with an en-suite), four twin rooms and two family shower rooms. The cottage also features a large kitchen with a dining area and a first floor sitting room with a gas woodburner-effect stove. Set in fabulous walking country, Broadway Barn is an excellent family-friendly holiday home for a wonderful break, all year round.

Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. First floor sitting room with gas woodburner-effect stove.

Area
Priestcliffe is a small hamlet of farms and dwellings in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The popular market town of Bakewell is just 7 miles away and offers shops, restaurants and pubs. Priestcliffe is a perfect base for exploring the Peak District National Park.

The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Three well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4 miles, pubs 1 mile. Note: Please keep dogs on lead outside due to sheep in neighbouring fields. Note: The two first floor twin bedrooms have an interconnecting door. Note: One of the ground floor twin bedrooms has an external stable door for emergency use only. Note: There are a number of steps down to access the ground floor bedrooms.

Just returned from a 2 night stay. We we're a party of 8 adults, 4 children and 2dogs. Owners were welcoming and informative on arrival. Accommodation had everything we could possibly need and more. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Beautiful scenery and walks. Made some lovely memories to celebrate with friends and family. On site parking. Only thing I would suggest is signage which could be seen on approach as its easy to drive past.

Just back from a 4 night stay with extended family in this converted barn. There were 11 of us (plus 2 dogs) and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable, without being too luxurious so that we worried that clumsy teenagers might ruin something! The kitchen was so well equipped and there wasn't a single thing we found missing that we needed. The barn is set amidst stunning Peak District scenery and there are plenty of good walks right from the door. As with all families with children,wifi is important to us and it worked just fine. The hosts are next door and more than willing to offer help and advice if needed.We can certainly recommend Broadway Barn as an ideal place for a rural family holiday.

With 3 toddlers a dog and a baby in very rainy and muddy conditions we were very disappointed to find there were no washing and drying facilities at the barn.. It is something that is badly needed. It needs to be pointed out to prospective renters. Otherwise everything else you could wish for is there.

This was our third visit to Broadway Barn.. My 6 female friends and l treat ourselves to a relaxing (man free!) break every year and this is the perfect place! Spacious, clean, comfortable and well laid out. The underfloor heating keeps it cosy and comfy beds to snuggle into each night. Despite a cold wet November weekend, we had a fabulous time away from the rat race in this top class accommodation. Very helpful hosts are nearby should you need anything, but are in no way intrusive. Looking forward to our fourth visit!

Beautifully converted and equipped barn in lovely situation.. Owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We were a family group of 12 staying for a week and with different dietary needs so a larger or extra fridge would have been most welcome as would a washing machine to cope with clothes for an active holiday.

The location is superb, with excellent views and magnificent walks both from the accommodation and a very short car ride away.. There was so much to do without having to travel very far. The accommodation was good and the general layout very impressive. However, the drawback of the mezzanine floor of the living room meant that there was no quite zone within the house: something we all need from time to time especially when accompanied by 4 excited grand children without having to retire to ones bedroom! However, this would not put us off booking again some time in the future. The directions given to get to the house were faultless, and the welcome pack of tea, milk and biscuits gratefully received.

One issue - I had failed to book 3 nights, only 2 before realising 3 nights came as the package price.. (My error). When I rang to book the Monday too the Operative said there would be a £35 admin charge. I certainly wasn’t prepared to pay. As it happens when the weekend was here and I received the Barn owners contact no it was fine.

Property living space was very cramped for the potential 12 guests.. ( bedroom and bathroom space was very good) We had 10 and it was v difficult managing in narrow kitchen diner and fridge space was inadequate. The photos did show lack of space so we should have been prepared! Probably adequate for 8 guests max. However the barn is well equiped and spotlessly clean and in beautiful location.

Always difficult to book a place when I haven't been to an area before, and Broadway Barn was fabulous! Comfy, clean and well looked after. Beautiful location a short drive from Buxton supermarkets. Mrs Tibbles was helpful and friendly but didn't get under our feet. Lovely walk along farm tracks and paths to a fabulous country pub. Short drives to al the Peaks walks and amazing countryside.

Broadway Barn was a perfect house for our weekend away.. It had everything we needed and was in a beautiful setting with great views. Some of our party chose to go on walks from outside the barn door and others decided to chill around the farm. Either way, a great time was had by all. If we had any negative points to make - they are that a few of the mattresses had springs which could be felt through them, and the WiFi was very weak but we were a large group and were happy entertaining ourselves. I would definitely recommend Broadway Barn and one of two of our party are considering booking it’s little sister, next door, Swallow Barn, in the future.

The Barn is ideally laid out for a group of couples (we were 4 couples and 2 singles) sharing a long weekend. Everyone loved this modern converted barn which was located in a lovely village close by to Buxton & Bakewell.. We were really lucky with the weather also which made are walks more enjoyable. This cottage was amazing.. It was spacious, clean and so well equip. Out party was 10 adults, 2 children and then 1 dog and there was ample space for all of us and all our stuff. The kitchen/diner was fantastic for a family meal and the kitchen had every pan/pot/ utensil you could ever need. The living room was a really good room for us all to gather in the evening. We had such a fantastic time that we are going to book again. The area is beautiful, fantastic walks with pub stops. You can walk to the main road in about 15 mins and catch regular buses to Buxton. Can't say enough good things about this cottage, almost don't want to leave this review as it may encourage others to book but we want to keep it to ourselves! Can't wait to return!

This was our second stay in the barn.. It is in a great location, comfortable and very well equipped. We were a group of 10 ladies and the barn was a perfect venue for our weekend away. My wife and I stayed here for her birthday in February. We were joined by ten family members for the weekend but then had the place to ourselves for the next five days.
