Green Hills Farm is a superb semi-detached cottage situated on a working livestock farm, just outside the village of Ulverston in Cumbria. The cottage can sleep eight people in four bedrooms, comprising a super king-size double, a king-size double, and two twins as well as a family bathroom and a shower room. The cottage also contains a kitchen, dining room and sitting room with electric fire. To the outside of the cottage is ample off-road parking and enclosed front and rear patios with hot tub, furniture and access to a lawned garden. Located in stunning countryside, Green Hills Farm is a lovely cottage for a great holiday at any time of the year.

Bathroom with bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen. Dining room. Sitting room with electric fire.

Area
The market town of Ulverston holds a street market every Thursday and Saturday. Today it’s well known as a festival town with events throughout the year. One of the town’s great claims to fame is as the birthplace of Stan Laurel - it is now home to the only Laurel and Hardy museum in the world! Facilities include a wide range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Ulverston still has an authentic feel and community spirit.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

We had a wonderful stay at Green Hills Farm. The cottage is clean, spacious and well furnished with the most beautiful views. The owners are so accommodating and helpful. My family and I have many UK cottage breaks and this must be one of the best cottages we have stayed at. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommended.

Beautiful location, close to many tourist sites, the cottage itself was well set up for large groups with 2 bathrooms.. Kitchen very well equipped for large groups and also an option to sit outside and use bbq facilities etc. Would love to return again. Highly recommend Sarah and Steve's farm cottage.

Just got back after a lovely time! The house was brilliant, loads of space and really well equipped with everything you’d need. The beds were really comfy, lots of fresh towels supplied and lovely clean bedding. It was lovely seeing all the animals in the nearby fields with my daughter especially loving the horses and Rodney the dog was a cutie! We loved our visit and look forward to staying again in the future.

This lovely home was perfect for us.. The owners went above and beyond, meeting and greeting, preparing the number of beds we needed, providing cots, high chairs, toys, cuddly toys, the works. We arrived to a nice bottle of wine and big chocolate cake. The kitchen was very well stocked, including all of the little bits like cooking spices, oil, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets etc. We actually couldn't have asked for more. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful welcome from the owners, who even left us some deluxe cake, and a couple of bottles of fizz for New Year.. The house was beautiful and homely and was all decorated up for Xmas which made it even more special. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this cottage to anyone and we will certainly be back. The location is great, especially if you are walkers and Ulverston is just a stones throw away.

The cottage was beautiful, very clean and spacious with beautiful decor.. We had a scrumptious chocolate fudge cake and a bottle of wine waiting for us and everything you would need for a home from home. An extremely comfortable stay and would highly recommend.

Steve & Sarah were the perfect hosts making us feel very welcome, the spacious cottage was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped with everything you would need.. Nice and quiet location but not to far from shops and pubs. Sykes cottages were easy to deal with and would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

Once again our stay here was brilliant,the weather was lovely ,the house is spotless although 2miles from Ulverston ,we had no trouble getting a taxi ,just in case you wanted to leave your car .the house was decked in Xmas decorations ,and a lovely touch of cake and wine ,Steve and Sarah are wonderful hosts ,not in your face but there if you need them ,already thinking of next year

Stayed in green hills lodge. Beautiful cottage. Spacious. Spotless and so homely. It was the best equipped property I have stayed in and one of the most comfortable from the lounge to the bedrooms. Brilliant position and only a few minutes from Ulverston village. Owners were lovely people and could just not ask for anything better. The owners were very friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble for them, even the gift of a lovely fudge cake and wine, very much appreciated after a long journey due to roadwork. Lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped farm house.. Slightly misleading from the photo as I was expecting the full house in the picture, I had not realised it was split into two houses! That said, there was plenty of room inside the house for six adults, two kids and two dogs with a spacious living room, dining area and the bedrooms were good sizes. It all felt house is located in a nice area with plenty to do and plenty of places to eat.

What a wonderful cottage! We were pleased to find a spacious, clean and warm cottage with everything we could have needed for our stay. There were 8 adults, 2 infants and 2 dogs in our group and we had plenty of space and good facilities. Ulverston is very close along with many of the more scenic walks a d sights. A walk up to the Hoad monument is recommended.

From start to finish the booking was easy I was kept well informed ,the cottage was everything and more than we expected ,it was Amazing ,our host Steve and Sarah were so helpful,informative ,and friendly even allowing us to view his farm ,they left us a gift when we arrived which was very welcolm,the cottage was decked out with Xmas decks it looked like a wonderland and my two year old granddaughter thought it was magical .. Best cottage we've been to.. The facilities, the welcoming, the space and equipment just impressed us. Steve and Sarah are so lovely and helpful , they are there when needed. we will return annually.
