Area The traditional market town of Ulverston rests below the Lake District National Park and boasts a wealth of cobbled streets containing a selection of independent shops and eateries for visitors to explore. Avid walkers will be pleased with the towns access to the hiking area of Herbert's Cliff and Hoad Hill's Sir John Barrow Monument. The town is additionally served by a railway station, allowing visitors to easily explore Cumbria, from its Furness Coast to the Lake District National Park's well-known towns, including Windermere.
