Millom Museum offers an insight to its past, with a reconstruction of a drift mine lending a nod to its iron and steel works. Discover the remains of Millom Castle and travel to nearby Haverigg, with its Blue Flag beach, a restored lighthouse and children's adventure play areas, for the ideal family day out. Other attractions include the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Black Combe and Sandscale Haws. Also worth visiting are Grizedale, Ambleside and Windermere.
