Shepherd’s Crook is a stone-built house in Grasmere, Cumbria, set over three floors and sleeping up to eight guests including infants. The property offers a ground-floor coat and boot room with an electric boot dryer for four pairs of boots. On the first floor, you will find a double bedroom, a cloakroom with basin and WC, a kitchen/diner with dining for eight, and a sitting room with an electric stove. The second floor hosts three further bedrooms: a double with TV and en‑suite walk‑in shower, basin and WC; a double (zip/link, can be twin on request) with en‑suite walk‑in shower, basin and WC; and a double (zip/link, can be twin on request). A family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC is also located on this floor. The property includes central heating, an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. Entertainment includes a TV with Freeview, WiFi, an Amazon Echo Dot and a selection of books and games. Fuel and power are included in the rent, as well as bed linen and towels. A parking permit is provided for one car, with additional roadside parking and other nearby car parks available. Sorry, no pets and no smoking or vaping. Shops lie 0.4 miles away, with a pub and river 0.1 miles and the lake 0.4 miles. Note: All beds are made up as doubles unless requested at the time of booking. Beds cannot be reconfigured after arrival.

Area
in the village of Grasmere there are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century and Grasmere Lake, plus Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland Wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District.
