Millcroft is a charming, characterful cottage located within walking distance of Ullswater. It sleeps four people and has two bedrooms, one master double with king-size bed and one twin with zip-link beds that can become a super king-size. There is also a family bathroom. There is a sitting room with traditional features, such as beams and an open fire, and there is a well-equipped kitchen/diner with beamed ceilings and all amenities. Outside, there is a cottage garden with seating, and a garden shed available for storage. There is private parking for one car. Situated in the quiet village of Glenridding, which boasts many cafes, pubs and shops and within walking distance of Ullswater and breathtaking fells, Millcroft is the ideal home in which to enjoy a stay in this stunning area.

Area
Glenridding is set in beautiful countryside and framed by delightful Lakeland hills. The village is relatively less frequented by high influxes of tourists which often crowd the central areas of the Lake District yet has a good range of restaurants, shops, pub's and cafe's. Ullswater steamers offer a relaxing steam cruise around the lake or for the more energetic you can disembark at Pooley Bridge, Aira Force and Howtown and walk back to the village along the shores or on higher ground via Place Fell. Stunning views of Ullswater can be admired from the peak of Helvellyn and Striding Edge.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The cottage was very warm, clean, pleasant and very well situated for our needs.. The area of Glenridding is outstanding and if we were younger it would be one of the few places which we would re-book--but it would have to be the latter half of September -early October. We had a great cycling/walking holiday--even the weather was kind to us--allowing for it be the Lakes. Regards, John and Jane

Perfect location for us as we were working on our boat at the sailing centre.. We had a second car so left it there as with only one parking space at the cottage it could have been expensive to park. It would have been helpful to have details of parking charges on website. The cottage was very well equipped and beds were fabulous!

The cottage is perfectly situated for walks from the front door and is in a very short walking distance to the shops and bars in Glenridding.. It's really well equipped, cosy and comfortable, lovely to have an open fire after walking in the snow and to find the heating on when we arrived. The beds are also very comfortable. It was helpful to have a few basics there, in case people hadn't brought them, such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, loo rolls etc. We noticed others had commented on it not being obvious that towels are not included, but I think all sites now have that information on them. One suggestion would be, that as the shower is over the bath, a non-slip mat for the bath would be good. We brought our own but most people wouldn't think to.

stayed here in may 2017, really comfortable, everything you could need whilst you are away. kitchen is really well stocked with all the equipment you could need. very comfortable beds and very handy parking at rear highly recommended
