Bathroom with shower over bath on the first floor. Off street parking for up to 3 cars. White House is the perfect cottage for a large family getaway or a short break with friends all year round.

The bustling market town of Keswick, a walkers paradise surrounded by stunning and spectacular scenery. The lower slopes of Skiddaw, Latrigg and the jaws of Borrowdale Valley are all within walking distance. Other beauty spots include Whinlatter Forest, Ashness Bridge, Surprise View and of course the shores of Derwentwater offering a wide variety of activities including boat hire and cruises. For the less active there are numerous shops, pubs, restaurants, museums and parks and of course The Theatre by the Lake. There really is something here for everyone.

I think the house was more comfortable and luxurious than the pictures suggested! It was always warm and had lots of hot water. Beds were very comfortable. overall an excellent experience.

Absolutely lovely house , immaculate and every little comfort thought of.. Lots of cooking paraphernalia and very good supplies of crockery etc. The only thing it didn’t seem to have was a lemon squeezer! Fabulous. Having parking behind the house was v useful – and neighbours Neil and Vanessa were so nice about my dad squashing their flower tub while trying to park - hopefully the flowers made up for it ! We all loved the house and are considering staying again next year. However a little moan as regards Sykes Admin: I found it difficult to log on at the start and register because the link you sent was time-dependent and I was unsuccessful in logging on after that or in contacting you at all. All I received was a large number of semi-marketing emails and no reply relating to my original email requesting a new link to log on .(which I didn’t manage at all until we got the final joining details for the property. ) I did try calling too but I am quite busy and gave up after the first time. Not sure if it was even necessary. Additionally there was some confusion around key collection at your office so I would maybe mark you down a few points on the admin front

Everything from booking to the stay and returning keys was super simple.. The cottage was very clean and well equipped for our stay. It is a nice location, easy access to the town center. Good parking as well. We would definitely consider booking the property again!
