Area
Keswick, a popular tourist destination, is the Lake District's northern epicentre. Miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing, and great mountain biking opportunities can all be found in town, and Derwentwater, a beautiful lake at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley, is only a few minutes' walk away. The scenic Bassenthwaite Lake is close by, while the lovely Newlands Valley can be found between Braithwaite and Buttermere. There are walks for everyone, from easy strolls across the countryside to strenuous climbs of Skiddaw or the well-known Catbells. Take a wonderful boat excursion around Derwentwater, or check out Castlerigg Stone Circle, Jennings Brewery, and Mirehouse, a stately house and gardens on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake. All year round, this is a fantastic choice for a trip to the Lake District because to the area's many pleasant parks and the Lake District Wildlife Park.
