Keswick (5.5 miles) is the adventure capital of the Lake District and has a fabulous range of pubs, shops, restaurants, a cinema, and a theatre by the lake, as well as attractions including the Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzling Place, the Kong Adventure Centre and the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Enjoy a scenic 10 mile trip to Whinlatter Forest Park where a choice of mountain bike trails awaits, perfect for everyone from beginner to advanced. You can also entertain adrenaline seekers here with a trip to Go Ape! The popular Lake District towns of Grasmere, Ambleside and Windermere are also within 25 miles.
