Located in the pretty village of Bassenthwaite with a country pub serving good food and local beer nearby. This picturesque fellside village is just seven miles from Keswick and the perfect spot to explore the Lake District with its fells and wildlife. Sat at the foot of Skiddaw, the views are breathtaking, and with walks from your front door available, the local area has so much to offer you and your fellow guests. From tours and tastings around The Lakes Distillery, sailing and water sports on Lake Bassenthwaite to visits to the Lake District Wildlife Park or walking alpacas, you re sure to find something for everyone. This pretty cottage has lots of traditional features and has a home from home feel to it. Walking through the front gate and up the path, you will enter the house and find a lobby area that offers space for your muddy walking boots and coats. Move through into the lounge with its beamed ceiling and cosy wood burner, and find a Smart TV and comfy sofas waiting, offering you the perfect place to curl up and watch a good movie after a day out exploring. Off the lounge is the formal dining area which has views over Skiddaw. Next to the lounge is the country kitchen, which is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, slimline dishwasher, microwave, and fridge/freezer. There is a utility room off the kitchen which has a washing machine and an additional fridge. On the ground floor just by the utility room, there is also a handy bathroom with a shower and WC. From the lounge you can head upstairs to the first floor, with handrail to the left hand side of the stairs, here you will find three bedrooms: two king size and one small single. Due to the age of the property, two of the bedrooms do have low ceilings in places, but this just adds to the character and charm. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor with a shower over the bath and WC. Outside, there is a pretty country garden to the side of the cottage it is a lovely spot to sit out on a summer's evening and read or make plans for the rest of your stay. There is no private parking, but there is lots of parking in the village and just outside of the property which is unrestricted (subject to availability).
