Keswick is a bustling town that boasts peaceful, quiet areas as well as independent shops and an array of eateries, from coffee bars to ice cream parlours. Put on your walking boots and head up ever popular Latrigg spotting wildlife along the way. Mirehouse and Gardens, 4.5 miles away has lovely parkland and gardens, whilst Wordsworth House, 13 miles, is the historic former home of Wordsworth featuring period details, tours and educational programs. Travel 25 miles to the Solway Coast for expansive horizons and pebble beaches to enjoy a bracing seaside stroll. End the day with a hearty meal at one of the many pubs within 0.5 miles of the cottage.
