A pleasant level walk will take you into the heart of Keswick, a thriving town at the head of Derwentwater. The town is home to plenty of popular attractions including Derwent Pencil Museum, Theatre by the Lake, Alhambra Cinema and Puzzling Place. Heading away from the town, landmarks include the Castlerigg Stone Circle (2.5 miles), Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum (5.5 miles) and Rookin House Activity Centre (10.5 miles). There are lots of spellbinding walks and trails for hikers, climbers and cyclists, with local activities including kayaking, mountain biking, canoeing and paddleboarding. Heading north past the beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake (5 miles), you can visit the Lakes Distillery (8 miles) and the popular Lake District Wildlife Park (9 miles). The cottage can be accessed either by three stone steps or by a wheelchair ramp. Inside, the airy and attractive light filled lounge/diner is a relaxing living space, featuring plenty of seating, a TV, a well stocked bookcase, and a delightful dining area, with French doors and large bay windows overlooking the garden. The stylish kitchen is an ideal space to prepare your favourite family meals, and is equipped with a gas oven with gas hobs, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a handy breakfast table and large wall map of the Lakes on the wall so you can plan your day s activities. Exploring this cheerful and fresh bungalow further, there are three light and relaxing bedrooms decorated in soothing tones. The first bedroom has a king size bed, plenty of storage and a wheelchair accessible shower room with a walk in shower and WC. The second king size bedroom has ceiling high bookshelves with a range of books to browse, along with armchairs offering pretty views from a picture window. Finally, the twin room has lovely views towards the fells. There s also a stylish family shower room with a large shower enclosure and WC. Heading outside, the large and enclosed back garden is a great space to spend a relaxing afternoon. The garden features a patio with outdoor furniture, then a couple of steps lead down onto the lawn which is surrounded by a wealth of beautiful plants and flowers. A charming pergola provides a relaxing spot. The private driveway has ample parking space for four cars. There s also a small car port to the side of the property which can be used for storing bikes this area is covered but open, so please bring your own bike locks.
