Latterbarrow Cottage is a luxury ground-floor converted barn cottage as part of a cluster of five converted cottages in the rural hamlet of Outgate. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, one double and one twin and a family bathroom. It is tastefully furnished with a modern interior complementing the characterful stone exterior of the property. Outside there is a private patio area within communal gardens, with seating and characterful stone walls. Private parking is available for one car with extra for guests. Located within walking distance of the village pub and with Hawkshead, Langdale and Ambleside no more than ten minutes away, Latterbarrow Cottage is the perfect home in which to enjoy a relaxing stay in this stunning part of the Lake District.

The picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Visitors can wander the wealth of tiny alleyways, thoroughfares, archways and courtyards between the whitewashed 17th century houses.

Booked for a few days’ walking trip. Excellent location for local walks from door and within easy reach of higher fells. A few minutes’ walk from village pub for meals and drinks, also close to Ambleside and Hawkshead. Modern well equipped interior with on site parking space.

Great location 10 minutes from Ambleside and just a short walk to the local pub in Outgate (500 yards) The cottage is modern and comfortable with all facilities necessary for a comfortable stay. We had 3 nights and managed some great walks every day without having to travel miles in fact the car never moved from arrival to departure.

Well equipped cottage with a great pub within easy walking distance.. A good range of information leaflets and 2 clearly marked parking spaces off road. No phone signal and slow internet but this meant we had a great week "offline"

Lovely apartment in a good location for walks and access to towns.. We found plenty to do during our 4 night stay. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with comfortable beds and great literature left by the owners giving us lots of ideas of things to do. We particularly appreciated the Wainwright collection, which makes good reading while you pick your next walk.

Cottage excellent in all respects.. Central heating keeps it very warm. Beautiful location. Pub with good food and beer two hundred yards away.

Lovely holiday superb wee cottage! Very quiet location but not too far away from anything we needed. Loved the little box of home bakes half way up the road to the cottage, gave my boys their pudding after a lovely meal at The Outgate Inn. The nearest town, Hawkshead, isn’t too far away with a lovely walk to get there. Good choices of places to eat and drink. Lots of info given at the cottage for things to do in and around The Lake District. Would definitely go back!
